My work focuses on finding solace within a space through solitude. It combines the subconscious with the spaces in our surroundings to explore the relationship between the self and the environment. I explore these specific spaces and go through the different stages of perceiving the ordinary as extraordinary in order to make the experience of solitude, one filled with wonder.

I work on these themes through acrylic painting on canvas, wood and paper. The two dimensionality offers the viewers a window to look at a space from a different perspective, yet also reminding them that this is an illusion. This combination of familiarity and unfamiliarity refers to the uncanny.

Thus, I explore magical realism to address the chaos and confusion. The spaces in my works often merge the public with the private, the natural with the manmade, the animate with the inanimate to emphasize upon the interconnectedness of the universe.
